Message from the Managing Director / CEO In the last few years, the State of Qatar has witnessed a tremendous transformation in all areas of the economy. The visionary policies of the Emir of Qatar, His highness Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al-Thani have played a strong role in supporting a conducive business environment and triggering the current economic boom. Taking forward the same vision, Qatar Holding was established in 2005 to boost the private industry’s contribution and development.
It is with great pride that we say that Qatar Holding is embarking on a new path-breaking project – a grassroot Petrochemical Complex in Mesaieed, Qatar. Unlike the other comparable major projects which were implemented in the past, the Qatar Petrochemicals Complex Project is being developed entirely and solely through the internal resources and capabilities of Qatar Petroleum, to diversify the product mix of the State of Qatar and become the flagship industrial enterprise. Moreover, the project is novel in a way because QPCC will the First enterprise in Qatar to productively use the ‘available liquid feedstock’ from existing and proposed projects. We firmly believe that the valuable skills gained through these exchanges along with strong, innovative partnerships will go a long way in enriching Qatar’s long term success.
